Flux is on the move, going from our modest digs to 12,000 square feet of audible goodness for a long weekend of recording largeness. It’s all hands on deck so if you are near and dear, call into the mothership now! Lots of photos and details coming soon.

Post-session update: WOW. WOW. The acoustics were amazing. The tracks are strong. We got 3 songs going for Roaming Crazy. 1 is nearly finished and the other 2 will get more parts soon.

We finally got some new profiles going over at ReverbNation for the new Flux-adel Artists: Ezraz and The Stares 2020 (joining 2MERICA and Roaming Crazy already at the RN). Look out for two new releases this fall — The Stares 2020 will debut with a hard-rocking self-titled EP led by LowCro, and Ezraz will soon put out some instrumental strangeness called License Punch Out!.

ReverbNation has all the social goodies to support independent artists, so start a profile over there and support the roster if you are so inclined.

Summer Madness

Thank you spaghetti jesus for the sunshine and thanks to your mother for the rest of the nature stuff ! It’s beautiful outside on the northside and for some reason we are cramming more Flux work into each day than ever before.

The flux fam had a nice day off on Memorial Day, which ended up being harder work than work! Now back at it, this is the summer where lots of irons shall be removed from the many fires burning around town.

(Since some of us pedal between destinations we get nature, exercise, and a better view, so maybe the increased productivity is nothing more than the achievement of balance. What? Nothing about a nice huge recording rig upgrade? Typical self-centered babble!)

Guess what? We are making much noise and attempting to enhance our legacies this summer: The full Roaming Crazy debut album recorded in 1 weekend… while filming the whole process for a documentary… The debut release from Low Cro (formerly of Dead Aim Me, now vocalist for Roaming Crazy)… The 3rd mega-single from 2merica’s Scherzo Elscorpion incra-mental el-pee… even a full length digital symphony from Ezraz known as “Spiderbots” is deep in production, planned for a late 2011 release. I got a tinge of heartburn just typing this list.

We have production and re-production to go with our exploration through reduction. We must be up with hope, down with dope. Why do we do any of this? It doesn’t matter, the question is moot.

The Dawning Of A New Era

We aren’t totally organized up here at Flux-adel. We aren’t a record label complete with office staff and quarterly profit/loss statements. We have no investors or business consultants. We only make music and make art to the best of our abilities, in a very low-budget, anything goes sort of way. We try to live the credo it’s not what you have it’s how you use it.

We have confidence and we have talented people, and we use these websites and other means to share that with the world. But ultimately we do it for ourselves because there’s no other good reason to take that journey. Success is the doing, so the resulting piece of work is always a success.

The new era is here. We are not alone in our methods and the proof of what is capable by this system is all around us: Roaming Crazy’s debut “Stares 2020″. Listen to the best work of 2MERICA. See more coming soon from artists Lo Cro, Rosalyn Flux, Rundiamski, Ezraz Jones, and something really big from Roaming Crazy.

We laid lots of pipe this winter, time to turn the water on.

Late April and it’s been a productive winter at Flux-adel. Roaming Crazy is making some waves around the net and has been squirreled away working on new material for some possible dates this summer. Make sure you check out the various places online we push our music: last.fm, Jango, The Sixty One, ReverbNation, etc. Post up and represent!
